Kristie & Eleanor – Rotoscoping

Kristie & Eleanor both have graphic’s tablet so they are able to create the rotoscoping part. Eleanor has done some work on pen and edited it in Photoshop to make it look more graphically produced.

Eleanor’s background is primary art and design based, though she has studied English and Media at a high level so she contributes with ideas related to the more artistic work we do and helps visualise our ideas, but also she helps run our blog and helps when she can with the more writing based work.

Kristie is very familar on Photoshop and has done 2D work. She has also done some rotoscoping animation on Photoshop of a character walking.

The plan for rotoscoping is to film Paddy walking with a backpack on the spot, once the footage is filmed. Eleanor and Kristie will split the footage and start animating, we will contact each other on what colours/brush etc were using. The plan is the animate it with block colours with no facial expressions because this will be easier to do and we want it to have the basic shape of someone walking with a hiking backpack so the audience can tell what it is meant to be.

Tom Day has used Adobe Flash to create animations of objects morphing into other objects and text. This could be used to morph the logo into a stick man walking.

I am proffiecient with Adobe After Affects & Premiere Pro, most of my experience is based on video & motion graphics. I hope to incorperate my 2D animation skills into this project!

Today we have created our meeting minutes template on word.

  • Found the font we wanted to use on our templates
  • We have come up with 3 rough idea’s
  • Need to focus on the purpose of the walk. WATER
  • Thought of questions to ask for next session (Thursday 13/02/2014)

  • How have you come up with the idea?
